Our Counselling Relationship
The relationship between counsellor and client is unique, it is unlike that of family and friends. Counselling is a space entirely for you to concentrate upon your own needs, troubles and concerns.

I hope that you will feel a sense of connection with me. It is important that you feel comfortable enough to talk about whatever matters knowing that I will not judge you and that I will respect and accept you warmly.

What Happens in Counselling Sessions
You may be wondering about what happens in counselling sessions. I will do all that I can to help you feel at ease. I am interested in getting to know you and hearing about what it is that has brought you to counselling. You may wish to discuss what you are hoping to gain from counselling, or you may not be sure yet. Often this becomes clearer as therapy progresses.
It may be that you are feeling distressed and want to speak about your issue immediately. I am here to listen and to support you in moving forward. People often find that counselling helps them to reach understandings and to know themselves at a deeper level.

My Clients
I am experienced in working with clients from various backgrounds and cultures. As your counsellor I am concerned with your feelings, emotions and moods. I am also interested in external pressures from work, school, family the media and so on.

Dyspraxia, Dyslexia and Neuro-Diversity
I have understandings of Neuro-diverse conditions such as Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, ADHD and Asperger syndrome. I am aware of how people with these conditions and their families can be affected and have written about this in my blogs.
